Regtech innovator Coinfirm has closed an investment from Middlegame Ventures, to further its mission in becoming the global leader in AML solutions.

Focused exclusively on early-stage FinTech Startups, venture capital firm Middlegame Ventures brings investment, operational, and regulatory expertise across financial services.

Pascal Bouvier, Managing Partner of Middlegame Ventures comments:

We are excited to partner with Pawel and the Coinfirm team to realize their vision to become a central provider of compliance and security in a tokenized economy. We look forward to working with Coinfirm to accelerate their traction with financial institutions and provide support to law enforcement and regulatory agencies globally.

Pawel Kuskowski, CEO and Co-Founder of Coinfirm comments:

“The unrelenting focus on financial innovation is a quality Coinfirm and Middlegame Ventures both share. I also welcome the team’s mix of investment, operations, and regulatory expertise that will enhance the realisation of Coinfirm’s vision as the global leader in AML space.”

The investment will accelerate the buildout of Coinfirm’s product offerings, which provide industry-leading compliance, analytics and transaction security solutions to blockchain and cryptocurrency businesses.

A primary growth focus is Coinfirm’s core AML & Analytics Platform, which offers an easy-to-use SaaS functionality for financial institutions. Coinfirm will also invest in its Travel Rule solution, as well as its Trudatum and Reclaim Crypto initiatives, which solve problems of critical importance to the international distribution and circulation of cryptocurrencies.

Earlier this year Coinfirm closed its first institutional investment round, where it raised over $4 million. That round, announced in January 2020, saw participation from experienced FinTech- and blockchain-focused investors including NKB, Alfabeat, Gauss Ventures and Blockchain Valley Ventures.
